  My four friends and I visited the Meyerland location on Sunday night, around 7:30. The restaurant was crowded, and seemed to be understaffed. Our waiter took our order after about 30 minutes. Two of us ordered soup and salad, one person had a salmon dish, and another had a steak salad. However, the order came back mixed up, the two frozen bar drinks were watered down, and I never got the glass of wine that I ordered. In short, the service was bad, the quality of the food was poor, all making for a completely unsatisfying dining experience. I wish the Landry's chain would get it together. That "other" big restaurant chain in Houston does a much better job of consistently providing quality food and service.

  My wife and I come every time we are in Texas. We are Landry select club members. This was the first time at this location. My pork chop was way under cooked. The waitress did not know what to do. I sent it back. The manager never came over. I paid the full bill and left a good tip none the less. I'll get a burger at the hotel. First bad experience with this franchise but very disappointed.

  I originally gave this a 5 star review, but after my recent experience, this Saltgrass is not good. Bad food and horrible service. Severly disappointed.

  We normally have a great experience at this location, however on this visit it was terrible. We went for a nice, quite birthday dinner for me. We arrived around 4:15 pm. It wasn't busy and we were seated promptly. The waiter, very friendly, arrived soon after and took our order. From there on it was all downhill. It took some time before our drinks arrive. Then after several more minutes we had to ask for our salads, the waiter said he didn't know why it was taking so long. My appetizer of fried mushrooms arrived and as always they were fantastic. A few minutes later we finally received the salads. Then we waited and waited for our food. When it finally arrive, not brought by our waiter but by 2 other staff, it was all barely warm. I was actually able to lay the back of my hand on my chicken fried steak with no discomfort. My wife's steak and shrimp was the same. Also, she ordered grilled shrimp and they brought fried. At this point we asked for a manager and one came to the table. She wanted to 'make it right' but we had already wasted 40+ minutes only to get sub standard food. We were not going to wait longer. We just left. So, thanks to the kitchen and wait staff my birthday dinner was a disaster.
