  Great newbie located in the heart of the Medical center. The parking is complimentary in the attached John P. McGovern parking garage. Located on the 6th floor.. remember where you parked. Their signature "Third Coast" cocktail is a must. Anything Chef Buchanan serves is worth a bit.

  Tried the new incarnation of the previous MedCenter restaurant. I had been to Trevision at least 50 times, and probably never had a bad meal (only occasional bad service). We went to the newly revamped Third Coast last week.....it was an empty restaurant (only 2 other tables occupied). Disaffected hostess sat us down at a table with only 1 place setting (for four of us), and lazily pushed around some extra silverware but no extra place mats (weird). Food took a long time, but the bread was good. Two of us ordered "POKE," which was spectacularly awful, a collection of raw tuna/veggies inside a half coconut shell that, curiously, was sitting in a bowl atop a bunch of rock salt. Also weird. One of us got a (very) small piece of roasted chicken which was good. $95 with no alcohol (two lunches and two appetizers? Wow). They have much to improve upon if they are going to survive as well as Trevisio did. It begs the question, why did they revamp the restaurant in the first place?
